Arriving somewhat dishevelled my fabulous new Polish assistant Agnieszka was ready and waiting. The scenic route had stolen my nap time however, I was more than pleased to be staying at the Andels Hotel in Lodz.Situated in a former textile Mill of Izrael Poznański it was redesigned by British architects Jestico + Whiles, maintaining the old world charm while adding a unique modern touch. The rooms featured high ceilings, colorful decor and gorgeous little window seats to rest one's weary head - if indeed rest was anywhere on my itinerary.
The hotel is next to a Palace and in front of Manufaktura, one of the biggest shopping, arts and entertainment centers. Talk about location! It provided easy access to just about everything, particularly convenient for me as I needed to pick up some groceries.
